Amy Gantt is a recruitment and retention coordinator for the Chickasaw Nation Education Services Department. She divides her time between the Murray State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University campuses.
As the recruitment and retention coordinator for the Chickasaw Nation, Ms. Gantt provides educational services to all Chickasaw students. In particular, any Chickasaw student attending SOSU will work with her to determine eligibility for, and receive, tribal grant scholarships. Ms. Gantt came on board with the Chickasaw Nation education department in November 2006. Prior to that, she worked in the Division of Heritage Preservation at the Chickasaw Council House Museum as an education specialist. She earned her bachelor of fine arts degree in 1999 from the University of North Texas and completed her master's degree in 2004 at Texas Woman's University. She holds a Texas Teaching Certificate with certification to teach all-level art. She has lived in Oklahoma since 2004 and has worked for the Chickasaw Nation since that time.
A citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, Ms. Gantt enjoys working with clay and learning about the Chickasaw language in her free time.
