  • What do you want students to learn in your classes?

    I would like my students to be equipped with the knowledge of what it takes to be a successful educator and coach.

  • Why did you start teaching?

    I started teaching because the person that was most instrumental in my life, other than my parents, was my high school baseball coach. I wanted to give back and make a difference in others' lives like my coach did for me.

  • What advice would you give to those considering this degree program?

    I would advise those pursuing this degree to ask questions to experienced educators and coaches so that they can gain from their experiences.

  • What is the value of this degree?

    If you are wanting to choose a career in this field, I would say that you couldn’t put a value on this degree. With this degree, you will have opportunities that you wouldn't have without it.

  • What types of jobs or work do graduates usually do?

    Athletic director, coaching, school administration, sports agents.

  • What does it take to be successful in sports administration?

    I think it takes someone who is organized and patient—a people person that is organized.

  • Tell us something interesting about yourself that your students might not know.

    I was the first person in my family, father's or mother's side, to earn a bachelor's degree and a master's degree.
