You will learn the theories and strategies needed to serve as a guidance counselor, career advisor or in other school counseling positions. The M.Ed. in School Counseling can be completed quickly, followed by practicum experiences.
In this online program, you will gain a solid understanding of counseling-specific research methods, take an in-depth look at the variables of human growth, study the impact of social and cultural diversity and delve into psychopathology and treatment planning in counseling. The understanding of theories and practical experience you will gain from this M.Ed. online program will prepare you to fully engage students while guiding their developmental growth. You will also gain insights into the legal aspects of working with special populations and regulations as they relate to public school administration. No GRE is required for admission.

As part of the curriculum, you will also study positive reinforcement best practices and differentiation techniques for diverse learners. No GRE is required for admission.
