To meet the admission requirements for the M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction – Educational Technology online program, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.75 overall GPA or minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 hours of courses, or
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA AND a packet consisting of a current resume, one professional letter of recommendation, and letter of application which outlines the applicant's career goals and objectives (including how an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction – Educational Technology will enhance their career) that must be reviewed and approved by program faculty, or
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university and at least 6 hours in a graduate program from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and must be in good standing at previous university
- No GRE is required for Southeastern Oklahoma State University online M.Ed. programs
International Application and Admissions Requirements: Please note, unfortunately, students with an F-1 visa are ineligible for online programs.
- Complete the application. There is a non-refundable $65 application fee.
- Academic Records:
- Original final post-secondary transcript(s) from each college or university attended within the United States.
- Post-secondary records from outside the U.S. must be course-by-course analyzed by a NACES (www.NACES.org) educational credential evaluation service such as IERF or WES or ECE.
- English Proficiency: Internet-based TOEFL score of 79 or an IELTS Academic score of 6.5; taken within 2 years of enrollment.
- For TOEFL, have your score report sent to Southeastern (institution code: 6657).
- For IELTS, let us know your TRF number.
- You do not need TOEFL or IELTS scores if you meet one of the following:
- English is your first language from a country whose official language is English
- You have a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university
- You have a bachelor’s degree from an English speaking country

A study of research methodology and literature related to solving educational problems and improving the learning process.
EDUC 5103: History and Philosophy of Education

Educators will explore, critically appraise, and apply the historical and philosophical foundations of education to their professional practice. Attention will be given to such topics as the purposes of education, professional ethics, technology and education, and diversity in schooling and society.
EDUC 5153: Teaching Strategies
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
An investigation of contemporary problems of classroom instruction and related educational and social concerns. Additional strategies for coping with these problems are examined.
EDUC 5183: Learning in Culturally Responsive Learner Environments

Legal regulations as they relate to the administration of public schools.
EDUC 5313: Introduction to Learning Technologies

This course will empower students with the theoretical and practical foundation to create and support innovative, transformational learning environments that are infused with technology.
EDUC 5113: Fundamentals of Curriculum Development
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
The examination of the curriculum worker's task of helping teachers to attain and maintain a desirable learning and teaching situation for both elementary and secondary school students.
EDUC 5333: Digital Storytelling/Communications to Empower Learning Communities
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
Theoretical and practical foundations to empower visionary leaders with the required innovative, technology-based digital storytelling/digital communications knowledge/skills required to thrive in a variety of organizations (K-12 schools, for and/or non-profit organizations, universities, libraries, museums, etc.) and help leaders bridge the/their digital divide locally, state-wide, nationally and globally.
EDUC 5353: Learning Technologies to Bridge the Digital Divide
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
Theoretical and practical foundations to empower visionary leaders with the required innovative, technology-based, socio-political knowledge/skills required to thrive in a variety of organizations (K-12 schools, for and/or non-profit organizations, universities, libraries, museums, etc.). The overall goal of this course is to support leaders to help bridge their stakeholders' digital divide locally, statewide, nationally and globally.
EDUC 5373: Innovative Leadership for Digital Age Environments
Duration: 7 weeks | Credit Hours: 3
Theoretical and practical foundations to empower visionary leaders with the required innovative, technology-based management/administrative-related knowledge/skills required to thrive in a variety of organizations (K-12 schools, for andms, etc.) This course will also address the legal issues related to leading digital citizens.
